ENCOR Overview

The Cisco ENCOR 350-401 course equips participants with the essential knowledge and skills to implement and troubleshoot enterprise network solutions. Topics covered include network architecture, virtualization, network assurance, security, and automation. Participants will gain hands-on experience in real-world applications of core networking concepts and will be well-prepared for the CCNP and CCIE Enterprise Core certification exams.

Cisco ENCOR Prerequisites

Participants are recommended to have:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of enterprise network architecture, routing, switching, wireless connectivity, virtualization, security, and automation basics.
  • Basic understanding of Python scripting.

ENCOR Course Objectives

Upon successful completion, participants will be able to:

  • Illustrate hierarchical network design using access, distribution, and core layers.
  • Troubleshoot Layer 2 connectivity, VLANs, trunking, and link aggregation.
  • Implement and optimize OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP for IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
  • Implement network redundancy using HSRP and VRRP.
  • Implement NAT for enterprise internet connectivity.
  • Describe virtualization and overlay technologies, including VRF, GRE, VPN, and LISP.
  • Understand wireless networking fundamentals, including RF, antenna characteristics, and Cisco WLC architecture.
  • Implement secure network access, configure device hardening, and set up RBAC and ACLs.
  • Use Cisco DNA Center and other tools for proactive monitoring and network assurance.
  • Explain basic Python and network programmability protocols like NETCONF and RESTCONF.
